Official 2 month stats

Here they are!
Weight:
13 lbs, 10 oz (87th percentile)
(including slightly wet diaper)
Length:
23" (48th percentile)
Head circumference:
16" (67th percentile)
So growth is right on track, although I thought he'd be longer; he looks it.
Linc's length should catch up to his weight soon, I hope. He's perfectly roly-poly now!
Lincoln also got his first shots this morning: Hep B, Polio, DTaP, Hib, Pneumococcal conjugate and Rotavirus (oral). He was trooper through the ordeal; I was not so strong! Seeing the look on his little face at the first shot made me break down. We recovered quickly, though; however, the afternoon was very stressful. Linc ate at 12:20 and not again until 8:00. In the ensuing time, he slept on us and screamed any time he or we moved. It was horrible!! I cried and cried, especially when he wouldn't nurse at all and just kept screaming. Refused a bottle too. I was terrified that he would keep refusing to eat all night and wondered how many missed feedings were too many.
Thankfully, just before 8:00, he woke up and was happy and smiley, and then ate (and spit up) voraciously. Our baby is back! Thank God.

2 months old!

Lincoln is 2 months old today!
23 March 2009

We spend the day at Great Grandpa and Grandma Marbut's with Grandma Mac (my mom!) and Uncle Z. The day consisted of being fussy (gassy, gassy baby!),

cuddling with Great Grandma,

sleeping on Uncle Z,

and SMILING!!

We go to the doctor Friday or a checkup and shots (gulp). Until then, here are some estimated stats & odds and ends:

Weight: 12.5 pounds (or so)

Outgrowing 0-3 month and 3 month clothes!

Loves: white noise, eating, looking at faces, smiling, eating,
sleeping on our chests, laying on the changing tale, kicking, eating,
taking walks, vigorous rocking/swinging (in our arms or in the swing), sleeping
Hates: Mommy moving too slow when he's ready to eat,
being strapped into the car seat (but likes car rides),
being swaddled (but sleeps well afterward), having trouble tooting/pooing,
being gassy
More to follow!

Could it be...?

Bathtime and no screaming!!! A red-letter day: Sunday, 22 March 2009

We owe Marcia bigtime: she said that Mariah preferred being immersed in the water, so we gave it a shot. I undid the bath hammock and left Linc leaning/sitting up in the water. While he didn't "love" it, he mostly enjoyed it--not a single scream! Hallelujah!

Smiles, smiles everywhere!

Love this photo of Linc and George

Slightly bizarre, but so cute!

How you doin'?

I love you, Grandma!

Smiles!

Lincoln has been smiling off and on for several weeks, but on his six week birthday (last Friday) we saw the most smiles in a row up to that point! Of course, my camera batteries died, so I only managed to get a photo of one of them.

Saturday we caught more smiles on camera--finally!

Linc is quite the charmer! (when it suits his mood, of course)

A picture is worth 1000 words

Well, bathtime has not become any less traumatic, for either Linc or us. However, a couple of times he has been in the water a minute or two before beginnng to scream; hopefully this will soon extend into all of bath time!

We took these after his last bath. From 0 to blasting in no time flat!

The funny faces of Lincoln

What are you lookin' at?

Spit happens!

I think deep thoughts as I ponder the meaning of life

Lumberjack baby

Thanks for the awesome hat, Auntie Angela! I'm the most adorable lumberjack baby in the world!

Playtime!

Although really, all the time is playtime around here--Lincoln is so much fun!

Eyeing the waterfall & toys in the bouncy seat

"Playing" on the playmat
(which consists of Mommy batting at the toys for Linc)

First family photo

Our first family photo! 22 February 2009

Hmm, wonder what Linc thinks about it?

That's better!

Just need to get him to look at the camera.
